Vandalia Health’s Davis Medical Center will host their annual Women’s Health Day event on Saturday, October 26, from 7-9 a.m. The event promotes better health for women of all ages through a variety of free screenings, wellness information, and discounted blood testing.
The multiphasic blood analysis, designed specifically for women, is available at a reduced rate of $25, and includes individual CBC, comprehensive metabolic panel, lipid levels, and iron. Other diagnostic tests available that day are the Hemoglobin A1C, $10; C-Reactive protein – inflammatory, and cardiac, available at $10 each; Vitamin B12 Folate, $20; Vitamin D 25-Hydroxy, $20; and TSH (thyroid) $5.
Schedule a test today by calling 304-637-3270. Walk-ins are also welcome. Overnight fasting is suggested for accurate results.
Pap screenings for women who have not had a pap test in the last 12 months, and those who have not had a hysterectomy are free but must be scheduled in advance by calling 304-637-3185.
"Preventive health screenings are vital for women of all ages because they empower us to detect potential health issues early, when they are most treatable,” said Adriana Fulginiti, MD, Davis Medical Center Ob/Gyn. “Regular screenings provide crucial insights into our health, helping to prevent more serious conditions down the road.”
Other free health evaluations and education at the event include pulse oxygen, DEXA scans (osteoporosis), sleep apnea, blood pressure, Body Mass Index (BMI), tobacco cessation, cardiac and diabetes risk assessments, and more. Flu shots will be provided onsite by Health Center Pharmacy.
Discounted screenings result in significant savings and can provide women with information that will be helpful when they have conversations with their primary care provider.
At Davis Health System, the top priority is the well-being of their patients, with this event having a special focus on providing compassionate care for women.
Participants are encouraged to park and enter at Davis Medical Center’s Main entrance along Gorman Avenue. For information visit the Davis Health System Facebook page or Facebook event at Facebook.com/DHSWV.
