On Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, Union Community Building will unveil their Veterans Wall, that will be displayed inside the building.

A project that was initiated several decades ago, finally came to fruition this year when Luke Hedrick mentioned it, and Sherry Daugherty picked it up and worked on making it happen by the Veterans Day. Also assisting with the project were Amanda Hedrick and Deb Dadisman.

More than 80 names and pictures of Union Community Veterans will be displayed, including the veterans from Revolutionary and Civil Wars, and all the way up to Iraq and Afghanistan ones. The wall is decorated with a full size mural of the American flag.

The ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided, and public is invited to attend.
