Santa To Arrive In Philippi

Rumor has it that Santa Claus will make his appearance in Philippi during the annual Christmas parade on Friday night, December 6. The parade is slated to start at 7 p.m. Those who have not registered for the parade can still join and show up at the line up spot near Subway around 6:30 p.m.

While in downtown for the parade, visitors are encouraged to check out the Christmas light and trees display on the Courthouse Square, then stay following the parade for the annual lighting of the tree, and then hang out at the Nook for some Christmas music and free hot cocoa.

Two craft shows will also take place in town – one at the 17 North from noon to 9 p.m., while the annual 4-H sponsored one will once again be at the Philippi City Gym from 4-9 p.m.
