The Philippi Middle School Bands will be presenting a winter concert on Wednesday, December 13 at 6 p.m. in the PMS gymnasium. Admission is free and the concert will be open to the public.
This will be the first concert directed by the new director of bands, Ms. Eliza Taylor Blake. This will also be the first concert in recent history in which the 6th grade J.V. band will present music separately from the 7th and 8th grade Varsity band.
Selections will include winter and holiday themes as well as other music the bands have prepared this fall. The concert will end with a review of the Varsity Band’s parade routine.
Separately, the 5th grade beginning band students are producing a YouTube-style video demonstrating what they have learned so far to share with their families and school community.
The PMS community is excited to share the hard work these students have put in to their creative endeavors.
