Philippi's Annual Christmas Parade To Bring Holiday Cheer

Get ready for a jolly and merry time as Philippi, WV gears up for its Annual Christmas Parade, a cherished tradition that promises to spread holiday cheer throughout the community. Mark your calendars for Friday, December 1, when the streets of Philippi will come alive with the magic of the season.

The parade line up will be at 5 p.m. as Wabash Ave. transforms into a one-way thoroughfare, guiding the parade route from the bypass to Garnett St and down the Main Street. The entire stretch from Garnett St. to S. Main St. will be closed.

For those eager to join the parade lineup, the parade officially starts at 7 p.m., as participants gather on Wabash Ave. near the bypass.

Organizers are encouraging participants to plan ahead by checking A Covered Bridge Christmas website and Facebook page for a downloadable entry form. While spontaneous entries are welcome, completing the form in advance ensures better placement in the parade lineup, allowing announcers to give participants the recognition they deserve as they pass by Courthouse Square.

The highlight of the evening, as always, will be the arrival of Santa Claus. Children and families can expect the jolly old man himself to make a grand entrance, spreading joy and smiles as he ushers in the magic of the holiday season.

The Annual Christmas Parade is a wonderful opportunity for friends and families to come together, celebrate community spirit, and make lasting memories. So, don your festive attire, bring your holiday spirit, and join the Philippi community in ushering in the most wonderful time of the year.

Don't miss out on the fun save the date for Philippi's Annual Christmas Parade on Friday, December 1. Let the holiday festivities begin!
