The West Virginia Division of Highway Officials announced that there will be significant lane closures on Corridor H starting Monday, March 11. The closures will affect both Eastbound and Westbound lanes, causing potential delays for commuters.
The closures will begin at the Michael Hart Bridge in Barbour County and will extend to Randolph. Specifically, one Eastbound and one Westbound lane of Corridor H at milepost 26.6 and ending at milepost .40 will be closed starting at 7 a.m.
The closures are due to a bridge rehabilitation and paving project that is estimated to take about 16 months to complete. Motorists are advised to plan their travel accordingly and to expect potential delays during this period.
The officials have assured that special accommodations will be made for school buses and emergency vehicles. They will be allowed to pass through the construction zone, ensuring that essential services are not disrupted.
