‘Lurching Forward’ Book Launch Planning Underway

Ted Cassidy biographer Christofer Cook and ‘Son of Lurch’, Ted’s own son, Sean Cassidy, have something exciting to announce. Plans are already underway for a special night in Philippi. The two (with the aid of Mark Moore), have been in recent talks to map out an evening of fun entertainment for the entire family.

Cook’s long-awaited book, Lurching Forward; Ted Cassidy’s Early Life from Cradle to Creature will have its official launch party at 17 North Event Center in Philippi, West Virginia on Friday, August 2, starting at 6:30 p.m. The biography is being published by Bear Manor Media. The event is free to the public and family-friendly. The evening will be similar to last year’s Son of Lurch event featuring Sean Cassidy and Christofer Cook, but with some new activities.

The night will focus on the new biography of Philippi’s native son, actor Ted Cassidy. Plenty of copies of the book (both hardback and softcover) will be available for purchase. Cook and Cassidy will be on hand to autograph the books, meet and greet, and take plenty of photos with fans. Food and drink will be available for purchase and the evening will be emceed by trivia queen Marisa Terwilliger.

The party is, of course, a ‘night-before’ precursor to the fourth year of “Lurch Fest,” the following Saturday, August 3.
