The Philip Barbour Colt Theater will be presenting a set of skits, Puppet Shows, and a “Live” Mother Goose to the community on Tuesday, October 29, at PBHS in the Commons and Theater and on Thursday, October 31, at the “Trunk or Treat” event on the Courthouse Lawn in Philippi (the side by church street). Both presentations will be from 5-7:30 p.m. and there is no cost to attend (donations are always welcome).
Included in the presentations are Halloween skits: The Werewolf and Little Red Riding Hood, The Magic Cooking Pot, and One really different Pumpkin Patch. The puppet shows are all nursery rhymes that most of us learned as children. “I was surprised and disappointed that many of the high school students did not know them,”said Lewis Hall, PBHS Colt Theater Director,“ and decided they could learn them now and share them with the younger children in our community on Halloween.” Mother Goose herself will be in attendance, reading some of the rhymes to children and available for pictures. Do not miss out on this opportunity to experience our high school students putting their best foot forward and being a positive influence on our younger community members.
