Fun Float To Take Place During Blue And Gray Weekend

Save the Tygart Watershed Association will hold a Blue and Grey Fun Float in conjunction with the Blue and Gray Reunion on Sunday, June 2. Bring your kayak, canoe, or paddleboard for a relaxing 3.6 mile down river journey to the boat ramp on Arden Grade Road. The float will take off at 10 a.m. from the Philippi Covered Bridge Launch. Please check in by 9:30 a.m. as all participants will be required to sign a waiver. Underage floaters must have an adult accompanying them. All floaters should have a life vest and a whistle. Floaters may arrange to leave their vehicles at the end of the float and STTWA volunteers will work to shuttle drivers (one person only please) back to the bridge. You must arrive by 9 a.m. for this option. It’s bring your own boat, but if you don’t have one, we can put you in contact with local outfitters.
