As Easter approaches, communities in Belington and Philippi are gearing up for a weekend filled with celebrations and family-friendly activities. From craft shows to egg hunts and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Kicking off the Easter festivities, Belington Middle School will host its Third Annual Spring and Craft Vendor Show on Saturday, March 23. Families are invited to participate in the Easter Egg hunt, beginning promptly at 1 p.m., with the event running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
On the same day, the City of Belington will host its Easter Extravaganza, promising an enchanting walkthrough event from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Families are encouraged to park by the library and embark on a magical journey with the Easter Bunny waiting at the end of the trail.
The City of Belington will also host an Easter Egg Hunt on March 23, starting at 1 p.m. at the Belington City Park. Following the egg hunt, children can unleash their creativity at the crafts station, open to all ages. The egg hunt itself will have two age groups 0-5 and 6-10.
As the Easter weekend approaches, the Philippi Lions Club will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30, at 2 p.m. Held at the Little League Park in North Philippi, the event will cater to children aged 0-12, with egg hunts starting promptly at 2 p.m. This beloved tradition brings together the community for an afternoon of outdoor fun and excitement as children search for hidden treasures scattered across the park.
Adding to the festivities, the Philippi Public Library invites families to capture cherished memories with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, March 23, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Donations are accepted, and families are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to snap a photo with everyone's favorite Easter icon.
Last, but definitely not least, Annual Annies Smiles Easter Egg Hunt for children and adults with special needs and their families will take place at Philippi City Gym on Saturday, March 23, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
