Earth Week Programs Held At The Philippi Public Library

The Philippi Public Library is participating in Earth Week by offering Earth Week and Earth Day programs. STREAM stands for science, technology, reading, engineering, arts, and math. On Wednesday, April 17, pre-school aged children may join Miss Kathy from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. for some Earth Day activities and stories. On STREAM Thursday, April 18, and on STREAM Saturday, April 20, from 10:30 to approximately noon, join the staff for additional Earth Week activities. Finally, on Earth Day, Monday, April 22, from 4 – 6 p.m. the library will offer yet more Earth Week activities. Activities include stories, recycling, making a cardboard tube bird feeder, decorating a Lorax cutie, and more.

The library offers many children’s programs and highlights them in a monthly calendar. Pick up your copy of the calendar at the library’s circulation desk or view it on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/PhilippiPublicLibrary. For more information about this program or others or to register your child, please call 304-457-3495. Space is limited.
