The Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA) Northeast Region invites the community to participate in the Team Hope Walk on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the Barbour County Fairgrounds in Belington. This family-friendly event aims to raise awareness and funds for Huntington’s Disease (HD), a genetic disorder that causes the progressive breakdown of nerve cells in the brain.
The walk will take place at the Barbour County Fairgrounds, located at 1154 Point Pleasant Road, Belington, WV. Check-in begins at 2 p.m., with the walk starting promptly at 3 p.m. All proceeds will support HDSA's mission to improve the lives of people affected by HD and their families.
To register for the walk, please visit HDSA.org/THWWV. For additional information or to volunteer, please contact Lauren Rogers at RogersLR6@gmail.com or Carla Rogers at RogersCarla69@gmail.com.
“We encourage everyone to come out and join us,” said volunteer coordinator Lauren Rogers. “Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by Huntington’s Disease.”
