Last Wednesday, City of Philippi hosted Philip Barbour Homecoming parade and subsequent bonfire, bringing hundreds of people to downtown Philippi. Residents and visitors lined up the streets more than an hour prior to the parade, and the weather was perfect for the night of celebrating students in Barbour County.
Following the parade, bonfire was held between the Museum and BC Bank, where DJ entertained the attendees by playing newer and older music hits. City of Philippi also provided hot dogs, chips, and drinks for the parade participants.
The crowds hung out till almost 10 p.m., enjoying company and music.
