Christmas Play Comes To PBHS

On Friday, December 13, and Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 7 p.m., in the Philip Barbour High School Auditorium, the Covered Bridge Players will present the 1951 suspense radio drama “The Night Before Christmas.” Young Kathy (played by Helen Hoxie) awakes to find her parents are missing. Buffy (Chasity McGill) tries to comfort and distract her throughout the day by visiting family (uncle: Larry McGill, aunt: Marissa Terwilliger, and cousin Johnny: Chase Dalton) among others. Additional characters are played by Gerald Fogg, Bill Claus, Millard Minor, Carl Swick, Dennis Riccio, and Thomas Hoxie.

“This annual event has become a favorite in our community. The program is short (about 45 minutes) and wholesome family entertainment,” said Lewis R. Hall, director. There is no cost, but donations are welcome to help keep this Covered Bridge Christmas event alive.
