Christmas Play Auditions Announced

A Covered Bridge Christmas community play auditions will take place on October 17 and 21 from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Philip Barbour High School Auditorium.

A Christmas favorite “Night Before Christmas” as a 1950’s radio suspense drama will provide with plenty of small roles to give everyone their moment in the spotlight (adults, children, maybe try it as a family). No experience (or memorization) is necessary. 

Audience will join the host for a special live edition of the WQAB radio broadcast of “Night Before Christmas,” a suspense drama combined with the joy of this beloved story, using the original 1951 radio script. Production dates are December 13 and 14, 2024 in the Philip Barbour High School Auditorium. Rehearsals will be on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-8 p.m. “The Covered Bridge Players have had a lot of fun doing these plays in the past and hope new people will join us this year as we present this popular Christmas event for the Philippi community,” said Lewis R.
