Celebrate Lurch Fest 2024: Map And Event Highlights

As the weekend quickly approaches, City of Philippi is preparing for Lurch Fest 2024, set to take place Saturday, August 3 from Noon until dark near the Philippi Museum. This event promises a day filled with music, food, crafts, and activities for all ages. To help you navigate the festivities, included is a map highlighting key areas, including vendor areas, the stage, the alcohol friendly zone, parking, and the emergency staging area.

Event Area Highlights

Main Stage: Enjoy live performances from local bands. The main stage is located at the park's center, ensuring great views for everyone.

Food and Beverages: There will be plenty of locations around the event to buy food and snacks throughout the day. Those that want to purchase alcohol need to check in to the ticket booth near the north side of the museum to purchase your tickets.

Crafts Vendors: Discover unique handmade goods from talented artisans. This area is highlighted on the map in the green shaded areas. Feel free to walk around and see what treasures and souvenirs you might find to commemorate your day and the festival.

Alcohol Friendly Zone: For those 21 and over, an Alcohol Friendly Zone will be available, where attendees can enjoy a selection of craft beers, domestic beers, and more. This area is clearly marked on the map and is designed to provide a relaxed environment to enjoy responsibly. Outside alcoholic beverages and coolers will not be permitted at the event.

Parking: Ample parking is available in the designated lots surrounding Lurch Fest. Please refer to the map for specific parking areas set aside for handicap parking. Overflow parking will be throughout town. Be cautious when traveling through the area on foot when attending the event.

Emergency Staging Area: Safety is our top priority. Emergency staging areas are marked on the map and is strategically placed near the event. This area is where first responder personnel will be located and ready to assist in case of any incidents. We encourage all attendees to familiarize themselves with these locations upon arrival.
