Battlers Knob is set to come alive with the sounds of bluegrass on Friday, October 18, 2024, as Carson Peters & Iron Mountain take the stage for an evening of toe-tapping music. The concert begins at 7 p.m., and tickets are still available.
According to their website, “Carson Peters and Iron Mountain has quickly become one of the most energetic and hottest bluegrass bands in the business, making numerous trips to the grand ole opry and multiple international appearances. Their traditional bluegrass style and a cappella arrangements are a refreshing reminder that the bluegrass of old is alive and well. The band is made up of Carson Peters, from Piney Flats, TN, Ben and Eric Marshall, from Mount Airy, NC, Austin Tate, from Marion, VA, and James McCowell, from Hendersonville, NC. Most recently, Carson and the band signed with Billy Blue records in 2023, releasing their latest project, “Gotta Lotta Lonesome” under the esteemed bluegrass label. The boys give God all the glory for allowing them to accomplish what they have, and trust his plan to guide them through the future.”
