Blue And Gray Choir Concert This Saturday

Blue and Gray Choir Concert will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2023 at 3 p.m. at Philippi Baptist Church.

This year, the Blue and Gray Choir will be performing their annual concert as part of the Blue and Gray Reunion weekend. Under the direction of Lewis R. Hall and accompanist Michele Moore, this year’s selections include traditional music from the Civil War era, Appalachian Folk Songs, and other sacred and secular selections. The choir has been working since March on their program and look forward to sharing it with the community and visiting guests.

There is no charge for the program, but a freewill offering will be taken to help defray the expenses of maintaining the choir. Lewis R. Hall, the director of the choir, remarked, “I anticipate the program will invoke tears, laughter, and awe.”
