BC Chamber of Commerce Kicks Off New Series, Information: Barbour County



The Barbour County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce a new initiative, Information: Barbour County. This new initiative will host information sessions about various organizations, events, and undertakings going on in Barbour County and the surrounding areas. The purpose of the series is to keep Barbour County citizens informed of what is happening in their community and the activities that impact the community.


The public is invited to all sessions which will be held in the lobby of Burbick Hall on the campus of Battler Knob, the former Alderson Broaddus University from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served at all the sessions.


The first Information: Barbour County session is Wednesday, September 18. The Barbour County Superintendent of Schools Eddie Campbell will present “The State of the Schools” for session attendees.


The second session will feature the Barbour County Economic Development and its work in the community. This session will be Wednesday, October 16.


“We hope that our citizens will join us as we learn about what is happening in our county and in our area,” says Chamber President Ed Larry. Future topics and guest speakers will be announced in the local newspapers and on social media.
