Annual Thanksgiving Dinner To Be Held

The Barbour County Ministerial Association will once again hold a free Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving Day. Various churches and individuals have gathered for several years to provide this delicious meal, to those in need. We have many folks who live alone or don’t have the means to prepare a meal. This is a tremendous opportunity to share your love for your community, by donating items, helping prepare, or even deliver.

This event takes place at Crim Memorial on 78 Pike Street, in Philippi. There are also free thanksgiving meals served by a Church in the Belington area as well. The Philippi Site serves about 200 people, both who eat in and deliveries. To pledge a donation or to let the Ministerial Association know you are going to help, you can call 304- 457-1123 or 304-614-1819.

The Items needed for the dinner are turkeys, preferably cooked and sliced, but if you want to just donate a turkey, the group can find a way to cook or prepare it. Items needed about 120 cans of green beans, 40 boxes of stuffing mix, 240 Hot Rolls, gravy mix, butter, and milk. The Barbour County CEOS have donated pies this year. You can also make monetary donations to Barbour County Ministerial Association at 78 Pike Street, Philippi WV 26416.
